Ben Simmons,
Brooklyn Nets point guard, is out for at least Monday's game. Ben had recovered from a left leg discomfort, that kept him out for a couple of games. Now, he's suffering back problems again, specifically a pinched nerve in his lower back.
This new injury has left Simmons out of Monday night's game against the Memphis Grizzlies. It is important to note that this is not the first time Simmons has been affected by this lower back problem this season. In fact, it was precisely this same condition that kept him sidelined for an extended period of time earlier in this campaign and previous ones.
Simmons has had an injury-plagued season, which has limited his time on the court. Of the 58 games the Nets have played so far, Simmons has only been able to participate in 15. This marks a continuation of his recent injury history, as he was only able to play in 42 games in the 2022-23 campaign.
With Simmons sidelined again, the Nets will have to rely on other players to fill the void left by his absence. This could mean more minutes for other key players on the team and the need to adjust the team's strategy to fit the situation.
