Golden State Warriors have announced inside the NBA trade market that they are not willing to let go Jonathan Kuminga or Moses Moody. While pundits have speculated about the possibility of these young talents being used as bargaining chips to lure a star, The Athletic's Sam Vecenie's sources indicate from NBA Rumors that they will not enter into any trade talks at this time.
New general manager Mike Dunleavy Jr. has made it clear that he values Kuminga and Moody highly. While he understands the realities of the NBA market, where sacrifices are sometimes required to improve the roster, Dunleavy seems committed to the idea of retaining both players as much as possible.
Following Vecenie's reporting, several teams have expressed surprise at the Warriors' determination in keeping Kuminga and Moody out of trade talks, and even more so in a market where promising young players are often bargaining chips.
It is important to note that while Kuminga and Moody are excluded from trade discussions for the time being, this does not mean that the Warriors are not considering negotiating deals that involve the departure of other players from their roster. What is clear is that the situation must change in The Bay, as they are currently 12th in the Western Conference with a record of 18-21, further and further away from playoff contention.
