Friday night in the NBA and one of the games scheduled for this March 1st is the duel between the
Golden State Warriors, led by none other than
Stephen Curry facing
Scottie Barnes and his
Toronto Raptors. For the Warriors, winning is vital to keep climbing in the Western Conference to secure a spot for the upcoming playoffs.
The Warriors visit Canada at the top of their game. The Dubs have won eight of their last 10 games to stand as of today with a 31-27 record. However, the good streak of their direct rivals, the Los Angeles Lakers (9th at 33-28), means that GSW is still in 10th place in the Western Conference.
The Raptors, meanwhile, head into the matchup looking to start a positive streak to put them back into contention for the 10th-place with the Atlanta Hawks (26-33) in the Eastern Conference. The Canadian team, after losing its last game, has a record of 22-37. Although it is already very difficult for them to catch the Hawks, they are also far from the last three positions in the East, so tanking at this point would not make much sense.
