Sources: The NBA is suspending Pistons C/F Isaiah Stewart for three games after his altercation with Suns' Drew Eubanks.
In sort of a resolution to the incident ocurred last week between Detroit Pistons' center, Isaiah Stewart and Phoenix Suns' player Drew Eubanks, in the back corridors of Phoenix Arena.
Last week, moments before the match scheduled in Arizona, Isaiah Stewart, Detroit Pistons' young center, punched Drew Eubanks, in an action apparently unprovoked, as told by the people who witnessed the altercation. From Stewart's point of view, he stated that the two of them started arguing before coming chest-to-chest and that's when Isaiah threw the punch.
Following the incident, Stewart was arrested by Phoenix police. The player issued a citation and was released after that. Although charges of misdemeanor assault were presented against Isaiah, they were dismissed by the Phoenix Municipal Court, according to a filing obtained by ESPN. The motion to dismiss it was filed by the prosecutor's office and granted.
In line with this situation, the NBA has announced a three-game suspension for Detroit's player, which will be starting tonight, in the game scheduled were the Pistons will be facing the Indiana Pacers.
