Jalen Green has been on a scoring tear in the month of March, and he continued his dominant stretch in this game as he led the Houston Rockets to a 110-92 win over the Portland Trail Blazers at Toyota Center.
The third year guard scored a team-high 27 points with 6 rebounds, 3 steals, and 4 three-pointers. Fred VanVleet had 15 points while Jock Landale finished with 17 points and 9 boards. Amen Thompson recorded 12 points with 9 rebounds while Dillon Brooks provided 11 points.

Dalano Banton came off the bench and scored a game-high 28 points with 11 rebounds, 5 assists, 1 steal, and 2 blocks. Scoot Henderson had 15 points, 3 boards, and 4 assists while Toumani Camara finished with 12 points and 5 rebounds. Rayan Rupert hit 3/4 triples for 9 points.
Houston improves to 36-35 with this win and now sit just 0.5 games behind the Warriors for the 10th seed. It seemed like the Rockets were heading for the lottery but they’ve put together an amazing stretch of games without their star center Alperen Sengun.
They are on a 9-game winning streak and will look to overtake Golden State for the last play-in spot in the next few days. Their next matchup will be on Wednesday against the OKC Thunder.
Portland drops to 19-53 with this loss. A lot of their key rotational players have been sitting out for the past few games so this gives minutes for some of the young players to prove what they’ve got. The Blazers are on a 7-game losing streak and will face off against the Atlanta Hawks on Wednesday.
