The

Brooklyn Nets 116-104 behind a career performance by
LeBron James.
The King led the Lakers with 40 points on 13/17 shooting, including tying his career-high with 9 made three-pointers.

Mikal Bridges as he shot 5/16 from the field for 13 points.
Los Angeles improves to 42-33 with this win and sit just 1 game behind the Kings for the 8th seed in the West. This was a much needed victory for the Lakers as they are trying to move up in the standings.
If they’re able to jump up, they’ll have to only win 1 play-in game to make the playoffs instead of winning 2 play-in games. The purple and gold are now 7-3 over their last 10 games and will look to pick up another win on Tuesday against the Toronto Raptors.
Brooklyn drops to 29-46 with this loss and is heading toward an important off-season that will show the direction this team plans to take moving forward. They have struggled all year long and will need to make some changes. The Nets are 3-7 over their last 10 games and will travel to Indiana to play the Pacers tomorrow.
