For the second time in a row Dallas Mavericks beat Sacramento Kings on the road, thus securing the sixth position in the Eastern Conference and avoiding the Play-In for the time being. Luka Doncic finished the duel with 26 points and 12 assists and after making the free throw that sentenced him in the final seconds he turned to where Vlade Divac was sitting and waved goodbye. He then walked toward a camera and blurted out, "You should have drafted me."
It should be remembered that Sacramento Kings could have chosen at No. 2 in the 2018 Draft Luka Doncic, but the then GM Vlade Divac preferred to opt for Marvin Bagley, who turned out to be a total fiasco. Vlade has always been criticized even more for being Balkan and not having chosen a Luka who, after what he had done with Real Madrid in Europe, was clearly going to be an NBA star. Yesterday the message was of the epochal ones.
