In a very short day of games this Thursday in the NBA, with two in total, Atlanta Hawks and Boston Celtics will meet again after having already done it last Monday. This time, the stars of the game will once again be Jayson Tatum and Dejounte Murray.
The Celtics will be the visitors with no other goal than to avenge the tough loss that Atlanta handed them last Monday. Boston has already mathematically secured the 1st position in the Eastern Conference, and it makes sense that they want to redeem themselves from a game where they were up by 30 points before losing.
The Hawks, meanwhile, are arguably in one of their best stretches of the season. The Georgia franchise, 10th with a 33-39 record, is riding a streak of three straight wins, including against the Celtics. The last of those came Wednesday against the Portland Trail Blazers, so today will be their second back-to-back night.
Expert predictions (Possible lineups and result).
The main predictions for tonight's game place Boston Celtics as the favorite to win. Although in their last meeting the Massachusetts franchise lost precisely against Atlanta Hawks, the victory should not escape them this time.
In addition, the potential lineups will be as follows:
  • Hawks: Dejounte Murray, Bogdan Bogdanovic, Vit Krejci, De'Andre Hunter, Clint Capela.
  • Celtics: Payton Pritchard, Derrick White, Jaylen Brown, Jayson Tatum, Kristaps Porzingis.
Schedule and TV.
The game will be played this morning at 07:30 PM ET, and will be broadcast on BSSE and NBCS-BOS.
Injury report.
  • Hawks: Trae Young (toe), Jalen Johnson (ankle), Mouhamed Gueye (cruciate ligament) and Kobe Buffin (toe) are out. Onyeka Okongwu (toe) and AJ Griffin (ankle), questionable. Saddiq Bey (knee), out for the season.
  • Celtics: Jrue Holiday (shoulder), Al Horford (toe), Xavier Tillman (knee) and Jaden Springer (knee) questionable.
