The first play-in game is over, the
New Orleans Pelicans couldn't surpass LeBron James' Lakers despite the efforts of the All-Star forward
Zion Williamson, who played out of his mind but had to exit the game with 3 minutes left in the fourth quarter.
Zion Williamson had a spectacular game, his first playoff-like game since he entered the league, nearly five years ago, when he was selected with the first pick in the 2019 NBA Draft. He recorded 40 points and 11 rebounds, carrying on his back the team's offense. Unfortunately, he appears to have injured his when starting a move to attack the basket. Immediatly after that sequence, Zion went to the bench and after talking to the Pelicans medical staff he head into the locker room, visibly frustrated.
New Orleans' Pelicans head coach, Willie Green, referred to Williamson's status after the game: "left leg soreness with imaging done tomorrow."
The power forward has had a phenomenal season, playing a career-high 70 games, with averages of 22.9 points, 5.8 rebounds and 5 assists, shooting 57% from the field.
