After the trade deadline: Four signings that could change the landscape of this 2023-24 NBA season

Despite no major players being traded in this 2024 NBA trade deadline, there were several moves that need to be considered. Some teams made significant improvements and now can be more optimistic about their championship aspirations. Yardbarker proposes four names that may have shifted the course of this campaign.
1. Daniel Gafford (Dallas Mavericks).
While the Mavericks' deal to acquire PJ Washington from the Hornets attracted attention, the trade that brought in Daniel Gafford was their true masterstroke. With his ability to defend the paint and contribute in pick-and-roll situations, Gafford could be a perfect fit with Luka Doncic.
2. Gordon Hayward (Oklahoma City Thunder).
Although the Thunder already had a competitive team, they decided to bolster their depth with the addition of Gordon Hayward. Thus, they gained a veteran with playoff experience and versatile skills on both ends of the court. Hayward's presence not only improves the Thunder's bench, but could also be a deciding factor in a potential postseason run.
3. Royce O'Neale (Phoenix Suns).
Although the Nets did not make flashy trades, their move to acquire future assets in exchange for Royce O'Neale could have a lasting impact. In a deal involving three teams, Brooklyn received three second-round picks and two young players, providing the team with valuable flexibility going forward.
With these additional assets, the Nets have the opportunity to strengthen their roster and prepare for future seasons. The Suns, meanwhile, take a player who could be very valuable to their rotation.
4. Monte Morris (Minnesota Timberwolves).
The Timberwolves looked to bolster their backcourt with the acquisition of Monte Morris from the Pistons. Although Morris has had a low-key season due to injury, his track record as a versatile and experienced player could be a great asset to a team in dire need of offensive imagination;
