The
Golden State Warriors small forward
Andrew Wiggins is
set to miss another game because of personal reasons. Thus, he will not play this morning against the
New York Knicks.
The 29-year-old missed the team’s previous outing against
the Washington Wizards on Tuesday. In that game, they went on to beat the
Wizards with a score of 123-112 at Capital One Arena.
As per the latest report, Wiggins is set to miss another encounter
because of personal reasons. Coach
Steve Kerr also confirmed the development after
being recently quoted in a report.
“Wiggins is dealing with a personal matter," said Kerr.
"... We do expect him to be back, but we just don’t exactly know when.”
The news will not be a good one for the Warriors who would ideally
need every player fit as they are going through a rough campaign, currently
sitting on the 10th position in the Western Conference with 30 wins and
27 defeats.
Wiggins is having a decent season for the Warriors where he
is contributing 12.7 points, 4.3 rebounds and 1.7 assists per game. In his most
recent outing against the Denver Nuggets, the Thornhill-born ended up registering
14 points to go with four rebounds and four assists in 31 minutes on the court.
Wiggins’ best outing this season came in the match against
the Oklahoma City Thunder where he registered 31 points to go with three assists
and one block.
