The
Brooklyn Nets hosted the
Detroit Pistons at Barclays Center and fell into a big hole. They were down by as many as 19 points but fought back and came out on top 113-103 behind the heroics of
Cam Thomas.
The 22-year-old scored a game-high 32 points while also grabbing 6 rebounds and dishing out 5 assists. Dennis Schroder contributed 24 points while
Mikal Bridges had 13 points with 3 triples. Nic Claxton recorded 5 points, 9 rebounds, and 3 blocks while Noah Clowney provided 17 points and 4 blocks off the bench.
Jaden Ivey led the way for Detroit with 16 points, 10 assists, and 2 steals.
Chimezie Metu scored a team-high 20 points with 7 rebounds and 3 steals while Marcus Sasser had 18 points. Troy Brown Jr. shot 5/8 from deep for 15 points.
This game didn’t mean much for either team as both squads have been eliminated from the playoffs. Brooklyn improves to 31-47 with this win while the Pistons drop to 13-65.
Both teams will be looking to revamp their rosters over the off-season and aim for more success next year. The Nets will face off against the Kings tomorrow while Detroit plays the 76ers on Tuesday.
