It has been a while since the Chicago Bulls have had an easy season. Sadly, they have been plagued by multiple injuries recently, including one that has sidelined Lonzo Ball for more than a year.
The team is currently clinging to the ninth spot in the Eastern Conference with a 21-23 record. That means that while they aren't the best team in their conference, they can fight their way into the play-in tournament if they continue playing like this.
Lately, Patrick Williams has been getting more time on the court because of another injury to Zach LaVine and he hasn't lost belief in his team's ability to win.
Speaking with NBA.com, Williams said that his team just has to "find a way."
“The end goal is to win the game (no matter) who's playing, who's not playing. That's your job as a team, that's your job as a player to win games. We're all trying to find a way to do that," Williams said.
So far this season, Williams has recorded 10 points and 3.8 rebounds per game. He has appeared in 41 games and has started in 28 of them, mostly because of numerous injuries that keep popping up across the roster.
The latest injury to LaVine was a huge blow to the Bulls, who have a very uncertain future. There is a lot of speculation that LaVine could be leaving the team soon. In fact, some have said that he may have already played his last game in Chicago.
But it's not just LaVine and Ball who have been hurt. Torrey Craig and Nikola Vucevic have also been sidelined throughout the season.
This is a team that might be on the verge of a rebuilding process but Williams might stick around despite big changes. In fact, he could end up with even more time on the court if LaVine really does part ways with the team.
