Domantas Sabonis made history tonight as he recorded his 54th straight double-double and league leading 25th triple-double of the season (5th player ever to accomplish this). His dominant performance led the
Sacramento Kings to a 108-96 win over the
Philadelphia 76ers at Golden 1 Center.
Domas finished this game with 11 points, 13 rebounds, and 10 assists. De’Aaron Fox had 23 points, 8 boards, 5 assists, 2 steals and 1 block while Keegan Murray also scored 23 points. Davion Mitchell contributed 18 points off the bench with 3 made triples and Malik Monk provided 11 points, 4 rebounds, and 4 assists.
Tyrese Maxey started this game on fire, as he scored the first 16 points for the Sixers. He ended with 29 points with 5 made three-pointers.
Tobias Harris had 12 points with 8 rebounds. It was a struggle for the rest of the team, as Paul Reed finished with 8 points and 8 boards, Kyle Lowry recorded 3 points, and Buddy Hield contributed 7 points.
Sacramento improves to 42-29 with this win and jump up to the 6th seed in the West. This was a massive victory for the Kings as they now sit outside of the play-in and have a chance to secure a playoff spot. They will look to keep up this momentum as they are 7-3 over their last 10 games. Next up on their schedule is a meeting with the Dallas Mavericks tomorrow.
Philadelphia drops to 39-33 with this loss and now sit as the 8th seed in the East. The 76ers are 1.5 games away from moving up to the 6th seed, but they have struggled without Joel Embiid and it’s starting to look like they will compete in the play-in tournament. They are 4-6 over their last 10 games and will look to bounce back on Wednesday against the Los Angeles Clippers.
