In one of the most anticipated duels of the NBA's Sunday, the New York Knicks, led by Jalen Brunson, are going to be facing a tough matchup against Donovan Mitchell's Cleveland Cavaliers. This teams have history between them, last year New York defeated Cleveland in the first round of the 2023 NBA playoffs. This year's Cavs are totally different animal and it will need the Knicks effort to overcome this matchup.
As visitors, the Knicks face this Sunday's matchup with a 35-25 record, in 4th place in the Eastern Conference. However, despite their good position, New York lost its last two games, so they need to win immediately to get out of this negative trend that's giving the Philadelphia 76ers (5th with 34-25) a chance to compete without the presence of their star Joel Embiid.
As for the Cavs, the team is still in 2nd place in the East with a 39-20 record thanks to its last win. However, Milwaukee Bucks are on their heels after stringing together five consecutive victories that have allowed the Wisconsin team to have a 40-21 balance. Their main star, Donovan Mitchell is listed as questionable for tonight.
