Some of the Zach Lavine discourse on this app is crazy. You can say what you want about his defense but his offense is as great as we’ve seen
Free Agency: Because of a tough conference and a lot of bad injuries, the Chicago Bulls will have to play incredibly well for the rest of the season if they wish to make the playoffs again. It's very possible that they won't reach the postseason this year and that means they will have to contemplate some big changes in the upcoming offseason.
The Bulls are currently on the hook for $130,261,937 next season unless they get rid of some of their big contracts. They actually have quite a few hefty paydays coming. Next season, Zach LaVine will earn $43, 031,940. He's the team's top earner but only because DeMar DeRozan doesn't have a contract with the Bulls lined up for next season. The same is true for Patrick Williams.
However, many analysts believe that both DeRozan and Williams will be signed to the team before 2024-25 kicks off.
Other players are also bringing in a lot next season. Lonzo Ball might not even play next season but he's still set to make $21,395,348. Nikola Vucevic is going to make a cool $20 million, while Coby White and Alex Caruso are making $12 million and $9 million respectively.
There is a very good chance that this summer brings a big shakeup to the Bulls' roster. After years of the team falling short, they might finally decide to make some adjustments. Right now they are under the salary cap for next year which means they can add some big talent before they are hit with major taxes.
However, the Bulls have surprised and disappointed fans in the past by not making changes so no one is truly sure what to expect.
