Oklahoma City Thunder, defeated them 118-93 at Fiserv Forum behind
Giannis Antetokounmpo’s amazing performance.
The Greek Freak finished with 30 points and 19 rebounds on 13/18 shooting.
Khris Middleton recorded a triple-double with 11 points, 10 rebounds, and 10 assists while Brook Lopez had 14 points. Bobby Portis provided 15 points off the bench and Damian Lillard struggled with his shot in this one, going 4/12 from the field for a total of 11 points.
It was also a tough game for
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, as he finished with just 12 points.
Josh Giddey led the team in scoring with 19 points. He also had 9 board and 8 assists. Jalen Williams recorded 18 points while it was a difficult matchup for Chet Holmgren, as he shot 1/10 and ended with just 6 points.
Milwaukee improves to 46-25 with this win and is solidifying themselves as the 2nd best team in the East. They are increasing the lead between them and the Cavs (3 game difference). The Bucks are 6-4 over their last 10 games and will look to build off this win in their next matchup against the Los Angeles Lakers on Tuesday.
OKC drops to 49-21 with this loss and fall to the 2nd seed in the West. They are now 0.5 games behind the Nuggets for the top spot but also only 0.5 games above the Timberwolves for the second seed. It’s a tight race for the top 3 seeds in this conference and each loss holds a lot of weight.
The Thunder could fall from 1st to 3rd in the span of a week, so they need to continue to take every game seriously for the remaining of the regular season. They are 7-3 over their last 10 games and will look to bounce back against the New Orleans Pelicans on Tuesday.
