The
Minnesota Timberwolves continue to thrive in this 2023-24 NBA Regular season. They've been one of the top teams in the Western Conference for the entire campaign. This means that they not only survived the fierce Western competition but they actually have been leading the way. Even losing
Karl-Anthony Towns, one of their biggest stars, hasn't stopped them from winning. Towns went down with a knee injury on March 12th. According to the latest information, his return is very very close.
Minnesota defeated
Los Angeles Lakers yesterday, in the latest game scheduled on a Sunday night filled with NBA action. On top of that important win, The Athletic's Shams Charania reported that KAT might be returning to action very soon, as he participated in his first team scrimmage yesterday. There is optimism that Karl-Anthony Towns will play before the playoffs start.
There's a four game window before the playoffs begin for the Wolves. This week they'll be facing the Wizards on Tuesday at the Target Center, and on the road vs the Nuggets on Wednesday night. After that Minnesota will be closing the season at home, on Friday against the Atlanta Hawks and on Sunday playing vs Kevin Durant's Phoenix Suns.
Towns has been putting the work after his surgery, he went down with a tore meniscus on March 12th and now he's almost ready to go, showing his commitment to the team and how much he wants to win now that his squad is one of the bests in the league.
This is KAT's 9th season with the Wolves, becoming one of the team's most experienced players despite being only 28 years old. Hopefully he can make his return soon so we can enjoy one of the NBA's most talented players back on court once again.
