We know that
Nikola Jokic and
Luka Doncic take the
All-Star Game every year in the NBA as an opportunity to connect and have a good time together in a game that every year is less interesting. Yesterday we saw them make a great play that was one of the few highlights of a forgettable duel. After the duel, Jokic was asked about his connection with his Dallas Mavericks colleague and he mockingly answered the following (although not without a hint of reason):
"Luka [Doncic] is terrible. Luka is very bad for this game. He's worse than me 100 percent."
This kind of statements from the stars are the best thing about a weekend that is becoming less and less interesting. Watching it live is spectacular, but on TV little is offered since an All-Star Weekend with a dunk contest that year after year is burying itself and with an All-Star Game that will never be competitive no matter how much it changes its format. We are left with Luka and Nikola giving us a good time, at least.
