The
Los Angeles Clippers point guard
Russell Westbrook has
stated that he has not lost his faith in the team’s performance.
The Clippers are going through a decent season where they
are placed in the fourth position in the Western Conference with 44 wins and 27
defeats.
However, the Clippers are going through a rough patch where
they have lost four out of the last six matches which raised concern about the team’s
credentials going into the playoffs.
Westbrook was recently quoted in a report where he expressed
belief in the team and stated his opinion that now is the perfect time for all
the players and the coaching staff to get together.
“Collectively, we just got to come together during tough
times,” he said. “Adversity, to me, is a real measure of who you are as a man
and who you are as a team. I think now is a perfect time for us to be able to
pull together.”
Westbrook is having a decent season on a personal level
where he is contributing 11.1 points, 5.1 rebounds and 4.5 assists per game.
His best outing this season came in the match against the
Los Angeles Lakers where he registered 24 points to go with 11 rebounds and
eight assists.
