Fans on social media have highlighted hypocrisy when it
comes to how
Minnesota Timberwolves star
Karl-Anthony Towns received reception
after doing certain things.
Oklahoma City Thunder youngster Jaylin Williams recently
uploaded a video on the social media platform TikTok after his side’s win against
the San Antonio Spurs on Wednesday where he and
Jalen Williams were doing the "Muni
Long - Made For Me" trend.
Users on the social media platform X — previously known as
Twitter — were of the opinion if something similar had been done by Towns,
it would’ve been declared ‘homophobic slurs’.
The reaction from the fans on social media arrived after
Towns received a reception on social media after his post-match interview video
went viral in March 2023 where he changed his voice for the interview.
Towns is having a more than decent season for the Timberwolves
where he is averaging 22.7 points, 8.8 rebounds and three assists per game.
In the team’s previous game, Towns ended up scoring 27
points including 10 rebounds and three assists as the Timberwolves defeated the
Brooklyn Nets with a score of 96-94.
His best outing this season came in the match against the Charlotte
Hornets where he ended up registering a whopping 62 points including eight
rebounds and two assists.
