The
Toronto Raptors reached a new deal with canadian power-forward
Kelly Olynyk. The player signed a two-year $26.25 million contract extension.
The Raptors acquired Olynyk on February 8th, the last day of the trade deadline. The player was previously with the
Utah Jazz and was sent to Toronto along with Ochai Agbaji, in exchange for Otto Porter Jr, Kira Lewis and a first round pick.
The Raptors will now be counting with the 32-year-old until 2025-26 NBA season. Kelly Olynyk has averaged nine points with a career-best 4.2 assists this season -- including a career-high 54% from the field. In addition, he's shooting 39% from three.
Toronto will be his home after being sort of a journeyman this last couple of seasons. Throughout his career, Kelly played in Boston, Miami, Houston, Detroit, Utah and now Toronto, his hometown.
