According to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski, the experienced Clippers' point guard, Russell Westbrook, underwent a surgical procedure on his left hand to repair the fracture suffered in the game between the Los Angeles Clippers and the Washington Wizards.
In line to what was informed, Westbrook could be back on court with his team before the upcoming playoffs arrive. The recovery period for this kind of injuries should be of 4-5 weeks.
The news is received as a relief among Clippers team and fanbase. Westbrook has been a solid contributor coming from the bench for LA this season. He always gives everything he got on the court, therefore teammates and coaching staff have a lot of respect for Russ.
He's been a good and savy perimeter defender, who also provides defensive and offensive rebounds and veteranship while running the 2nd unit's offense.
