Lance Armstrong's podcast, 'WEDU,' took an unexpected turn in its latest episode when 6x NBA All-Star
Blake Griffin joined as a guest host. While the conversation initially revolved around various topics, including Griffin's transition to acting, it eventually veered into an unexpected territory: NBA players' feet.
Armstrong, known for his candidness, expressed disbelief at the condition of prominent NBA players' feet, describing them as "gross." He recounted a story told by a friend who met Phoenix Suns star
Kevin Durant at a pool party, where Durant's reportedly abnormal-sized feet left a lasting impression. Despite skepticism from Armstrong, a quick Google search confirmed the truth behind Durant's unique foot anatomy, prompting Armstrong to compare it to a "horror movie."

Griffin, no stranger to wear and tear as an athlete himself, admitted that his feet had also seen better days but acknowledged that they paled in comparison to Durant's. As Griffin currently navigates free agency, Armstrong couldn't resist offering a tongue-in-cheek piece of advice: "If there is anything that might influence the decision [to retire or not], just google 'Kevin Durant's feet.'"
Kevin Durant's feet aren't the only ones sparking conversation among NBA enthusiasts. From Shaquille O'Neal to LeBron James, the toll basketball takes on players' feet has become a topic of interest. Durant, known for his size 18 shoes, has often reflected on how his feet have impacted his career, questioning whether they prevented his team from achieving certain milestones.
One such instance was during the 2021 playoffs when Durant, then playing for the Brooklyn Nets, faced the Milwaukee Bucks in a crucial Game 7. With seconds remaining, Durant attempted a game-winning 3-pointer, but his foot was ruled to be on the line, resulting in only two points and forcing the game into overtime. The Nets eventually fell short, leading Durant to reflect on what could have been.
In a post-game interview, Durant lamented, "My big a*s foot stepped on the line. I just saw how close I was to ending their season with that shot."
