Los Angeles Lakers in one of four NBA exciting matchups scheduled this Saturday. The Cavs continue to find their rhythm with
Donovan Mitchell back in the squad as the Lakers wanted another win that gets them closer to the coveted 6th spot in the Western Standings. LeBron led the way with 24 points in his team's comfortable victory 116-97.
Cleveland came to the Crypto.com Arena enjoying a better present than the home team. Currently third in the East, just a half-game ahead Orlando and New York and a two wins away from the Milwaukee Bucks, the second-bests in the Conference.
Los Angeles have a busy schedule as they need to win everything left in order to save themselves from that menacing play-in tournament.
The Lakers played well the entire match, never letting Cleveland get closer in the scoreboard after the first quarter. Over the last games, LA has improved its consistency significantly, and with a win like this over a very good team, LeBron's squad is going to be a problem in the postseason.
LeBron James finished with 24 points and 12 assists.
Anthony Davis was huge on the boards, registering 13 rebounds and adding 22 points. D'Angelo Russell was the Lakers main weapon, scoring 28 points.
The Lakers have been doing a lot of winning lately, registering an 8-2 record in their last 10 games. However, the Western Conference is in such form that they've been stuck in the 9th place despite the victories.
Donovan Mitchell played 38 minutes but lacked of efficiency, registering 10 points while shooting 30.8% from the field.
Darius Garland was Cleveland's best scorer, adding 26 points. Jarrett Allen contributed with 12 points and 12 rebounds.
Los Angeles Lakers will be facing the Minnesota Timberwolves, on a very challenging matchup for their second game back-to-back. Golden State and New Orleans are also coming up on LA's radar the following week.
Cleveland stays in LA. Tomorrow night, they will be looking to bounce back from this defeat against Kawhi Leonard's Los Angeles Clippers.
