In a strategic move, the NBA is in the final stages of planning to turn the highly anticipated 2024 NBA Draft into a two-night event to be held on the Brooklyn stage, confidential sources told ESPN on Thursday.
The proposal is to split the draft into two rounds to be held on consecutive nights, specifically June 26 and 27. However, before this innovative idea is finalized, the league is awaiting final approval from the National Basketball Players Association (NBPA), sources said.
Talks between the NBA and the players' union have been ongoing and are expected to continue in the coming days.
