8 games around the NBA this Thursday, and perhaps one of the most interesting will be the Golden State Warriors, visiting the Madison Square Garden to face the New York Knicks. Two teams that need to win to maintain or climb to better position themselves in their respective conference standings. Stephen Curry will be from the start, but Jalen Brunson instead is questionable.
The Warriors visit the Garden in need of an all-important win due to the meteoric rise of the Los Angeles Lakers, who are on a solid seven-game winning streak of their last 10 games, which led LA to overtake the Bay Area franchise in the Western Conference standings. Currently, the Lakers are 9th with a 32-28 record, and GSW is 10th at 30-27.
The Knicks, meanwhile, have to redeem themselves from their last defeat. Despite continuing to have on very sensitive losses in their roster, the Big Apple franchise remains in fourth place in the Eastern Conference with a 35-24 record, but with Miami Heat lurking (5th with 33-25 after winning their last five games), going on a negative streak would mean for New York to lose that fourth place and there fore, losing home-court advantage in the first round of the playoffs.
Expert predictions (Possible starting fives and winner)
The main predictions place Golden State Warriors as the favorite to win the game. The Knicks' losses are the main reason why the Bay Area team is positioned as the favorite to win the match.

  • Warriors: Stephen Curry, Brandin Podziemzki, Moses Moody, Jonathan Kuminga, Draymond Green.
