Otto Porter Jr decided to return home, to evaluate which decision make for his immediate future in the NBA and that's why the small-forward wasn't with his team, the
Utah Jazz, in the loss suffered against the Charlotte Hornets, in line with what league sources told the Athletic.
Porter Jr, 30, whom the Jazz acquired two weeks ago when they traded Kelly Olynyk and Ochai Agbaji to the Toronto Raptors, is fully healthy and ready to play, according to NBA sources.
His options include accepting a contract buyout from the Jazz, which would allow him to sign with another team. Porter would have to sign with another team by March 1 to be eligible to play in the playoffs.
We will see if there is a contending team that's interested in him and makes him an offer with the playoffs in mind. Let's remember that he was key in Golden State Warriors' title a couple of seasons ago.
