While he hasn't played a single minute for the Los Angeles Clippers since November 27, 2023, PJ Tucker decided to take a break from the organization. Tucker's figure was surrounded by trade rumors before the trade deadline and there was even the idea that he was going to be cut from the team. Finally, none of that happened and Tucker assured that he'll remain with the Clippers.
Now, according to Shams Charania in The Athletic, the player is going to take a few days off before the All-Star Weekend to refresh his mind. He'ill return to the group dynamics when the rest of the team comes back after the break.
We'll see if he finds a place in the team, at least at the very deep end of the bench rotation, to play some games in which the Clippers need a defensive specialist of his characteristics. The truth is that since he won the ring with the Bucks in 2021 his acquisition hasn't worked neither with the Heat (although he played more minutes), nor with the Sixers nor now in LA. His career seems to be closer to its end than ever.
