Monte McNair,
Sacramento Kings' manager, decided to hold the ground during the NBA trade deadline. Although some fans may think that it was a good opportunity to improve the roster, especially after suffering a hard loss againts the Detroit Pistons, currently holding this season worst record.
When McNair addressed the media after last year's deadline, he emphasized the importance of team cohesion as the main reason for not making significant changes to the squad. A year later, adopted this same philosophy, stressing the need to keep the group together while looking to improve in different aspects of the game.
As for the team's performance on the court, McNair acknowledges the progress made on defense, particularly by players such as Keegan Murray and
De'Aaron Fox. However, he notes a decline in offensive production, which has affected the team's overall performance.
The Kings, currently in seventh place of the Western Conference, face the challenge of staying competitive in an increasingly demanding league.
As they move toward the playoffs, McNair stresses the need to balance both defense and offense to achieve a solid performance in the postseason. While the current priority is on improving offensive production, McNair and the team are committed to addressing all aspects of the game to achieve their goals this season.
