Over the last few years, there have been numerous stories stating that Chicago Bulls legends Michael Jordan and Scottie Pippen don't quite see eye to eye. In fact, there have been some public comments by both players that have made that seem very likely.
But not Pippen has come around and has admitted that his former teammate is the best-ever player in the league.
Pippen spoke at length about the career of Jordan and called him "the greatest player definitely in basketball."
Pippen said:
“You look at the MVPs he was able to achieve. But I think it was all brought from us being successful as a team. Obviously, someone is going to bring those accolades home. But, yeah, he was the greatest player definitely in basketball.”
Jordan and Pippen had a wildly successful partnership and won six championships together during their years in Chicago. During those six championships, Jordan won Finals MVP each time. Pippen received many honors and accolades during his career, including seven All-Star appearances, All-Star MVP, and a place in the Hall of Fame and 75th Anniversary Team.
Jordan and Pippen have been at public events together and have seemed to play nice when face-to-face but the rumors of them not being friendly have still persisted. Perhaps this new statement from Pippen will put them to rest once and for all.
