Scottie Pippen is one of the most legendary players in NBA history and was a vital part of the amazing Chicago Bulls run in the 1990s. Alongside Michael Jordan and Dennis Rodman, Pippen earned a place in Bulls and NBA history.
But there have been many rumors of Pippen disliking Jordan and those rumors resurfaced on Thursday after a cryptic social media post.
In the Instagram post, Pippen stated, "People be in a secret competition with you and still be losing."
Because of Pippen's past comments about Jordan, many online Twitter users felt that the Hall of Famer was throwing shade at Jordan.
"Jordan won last I checked," one fans said, while another asked, "Is this a confession?"
The relationship between Pippen and Jordan has been falling apart for years. It all started in 2020 when Pippen was unhappy with how he was portrayed in the famous Jordan-centric documentary The Last Dance.
In his memoir, Pippen dove into his issues with Jordan:
“I just felt like that he had rights to really control something that I felt like should have been more historically about the Chicago Bulls, more about that team, and the history of that team. Especially, the last three seasons. And I just didn't think it went in that direction."
Things got even worse when Jordan's son, Marcus, began dating Pippen's ex-wife. Since then, most people have assumed that Pippen and Jordan won't spark up their friendship again any time soon.
It is a shame that these two NBA heroes can't get along, especially after all they achieved together. At the same time, no one will ever really know the extent of their dislike for each other, especially if cryptic and vague social media posts like this continue to be published.
