Shaquille O'Neal, a living NBA legend and current TNT commentator, had some advice for
Damian Lillard and
Giannis Antetokounmpo.
Lillard was interviewed after winning the NBA
All-Star Game MVP and Shaq took the opportunity to give his opinion on what is happening in
Milwaukee Bucks team since
Doc Rivers arrived on the bench a few weeks ago.
"There's no reason for them to be 3-7 with Doc Rivers in there!" exclaimed Shaq, underscoring the need for decisive intervention by key players. His advice was direct and blunt: "You're gonna have to grab some people by the necks and say, 'Hey, this is what I need you to do.'"
We'll see what happens after the All-Star break. What is clear is that the Bucks stars have to start making a leap forward to get better results and to connect better so the team can sell up. Before the arrival of Rivers, the feelings for the playoffs with Green were not the best, but at least the team was winning. Now, Rivers is trying to improve the defense heading into the postseason, but they have started to lose.
