The Milwaukee Bucks are the third-best team in the Eastern Conference and less than a week away from starting their latest run in the playoffs. Additionally, they have been gaining a ton of attention all season long since adding Damian Lillard to the roster.
But is Lillard happy in Milwaukee and will he be there much longer if the team doesn't find great postseason success?
Stephen A. Smith doesn't think so and he thinks that Lillard might be on his way out the door soon.
"If Milwaukee loses, I think you need to consider moving Dame up outta there. I'm not talking about his game. He's not happy there," Smith said recently.
Lillard has seemingly adjusted to playing in Milwaukee, averaging 24.3 points, 4.4 rebounds, and 7 assists during his first season with the Bucks. And he seems to be happy playing alongside Giannis Antetokounmpo.
With that being said, Lillard has made no secret of how hard it was to making a home in Milwaukee during the summer. He openly stated that he missed his friends and family back in Portland and wasn't feeling great right away.
Milwaukee is different from Portland and much more different than Miami, his dream destination that wasn't delivered to him last summer. Therefore, the idea of him not being happy living in Milwaukee doesn't seem very far-fetched.
A lot is riding on the Bucks' performance in the playoffs. What will happen to head coach Doc Rivers? What will happen to Antetokounmpo and his future with the team? And what will happen to Lillard? Will he attempt to move to the Heat again or try his luck with another team?
The Lillard-Antetokounmpo partnership just got started but will it be a thing of the past soon?
