Dallas Mavericks won against
San Antonio Spurs by 116-93 in a duel in which
Kyrie Irving and
Luka Doncic led their team to victory against
Victor Wembanyama, who could not prevent his team's defeat in the Texas derby.
Kyrie finished the duel with 34 points after scoring 15 of the 22 shots he attempted. He also contributed 9 rebounds and 7 assists. Doncic, meanwhile, finished the duel with 17 points, 9 catches and 8 assists. Jason Kidd's team did not need much more to beat one of the worst teams in the league. Daniel Gaffor finished with a double-double of 10 points and 10 rebounds.
For the Spurs, the 26 points, 9 rebounds, 5 assists and 3 blocks of a solid Wembanyama were of no use. Gregg Popovich's Spurs are the worst team in the Western Conference by far with only 11 wins in 55 games. Mind you, they have in the East. Detroit Pistons and Washington Wizards below them, as they have yet to reach 10 wins.
FIGHT FOR PLAYOFFS.
The Mavs are giving very good sensations since the close of the market, accumulating 6 wins in a row and are seventh in the West at the moment, just one game behind the sixth playoff spot currently occupied by the New Orleans Pelicans. It will be a great battle for those last playoff spots in the final stretch of the regular season after the All-Star Weekend.
