Former superstar teammates
Jimmy Butler and
Joel Embiid were out for tonight's contest, but the stars still shined in this game. At the end of this matchup, it was
Bam Adebayo who came out on top, as he led the
Miami Heat to a 109-104 victory over the
Philadelphia 76ers at Wells Fargo Center.
Adebayo is set to make his 3rd All-Star appearance this weekend in Indiana, and he proved to the world why he deserved to be selected. He took advantage of no Joel Embiid and played like a dominant big man, scoring efficiently while controlling the glass.
In this contest Bam scored 23 points along with 14 rebounds. Tyler Herro helped out by scoring 23 points of his own with 7 rebounds and 7 assists. Duncan Robinson splashed in 5 three pointers and finished with 20 points. Haywood Highsmith had 16 points off the bench while rookie Jaime Jaquez Jr. had 12 points and 9 rebounds.
Tyrese Maxey will also be making an appearance in Indy this weekend. The 4th year guard is making his All-Star game debut and is having a phenomenal season, stepping up his game ever since the departure of former MVP James Harden.
In tonight's matchup, Maxey went off for 30 points, 6 rebounds, and 7 assists on 52% shooting. Buddy Hield chipped in 22 points and 10 assists with 5 made threes. He's been playing amazing since he stepped foot in Philly and he's proving why he's one of the league's best 3 point shooters.
Paul Reed started again for Joel Embiid and finished with 18 points and 12 rebounds, while Ricky Counil IV had himself a nice game, ending with 13 points off the bench.
