The Dallas Mavericks stunned the Oklahoma City Thunder this Saturday. Luka Doncic played a phenomenal game and looks like he can definitely compete against Shai Gilgeous-Alexander for the MVP. The Mavs new additions looked great as well as Dallas won the game with ease.
The Dallas Mavericks defeated the Oklahoma City Thunder 146-111 in a duel in which the Texans were on fire from start (a 47-30 run with Luka in Michael Jordan mode) and introduced the two new signings: PJ Washington and Daniel Gafford.
Very good impression of the whole team, aware that after a trade deadline in which they have brought new faces they could'nt disappoint the fans and played a very serious duel against one of the trendy teams of the season. As we say, the key was an unstoppable Luka Doncic who finished with 32 points, 8 rebounds and 9 assists and, beyond the numbers, a total dominance of the game. SGA was left with 25 points for the Thunder, but completely inconsequential.
THE NEW GUYS
Very good sensations from the new players, especially Gafford, who contributed a lot in offense and rebounding, clicking perfectly with Luka and finishing the duel with 19 points and 9 rebounds in less than twenty minutes on the court. PJ Washington contributed 14 points. As we say, very good sensations.
Kyrie Irving also had a good game, finishing with 25 points and 8 assists. Maxi Kleber signed a double-double of 12 points and 12 rebounds (his best mark of the year). For the Thunder, in which Gordon Hayward did not make his debut, there was little to highlight in a very gray duel overall.
