Milwaukee Bucks veteran point guard
Damian Lillard believes
that the fans were thoroughly entertained during the NBA
All-Star game.
The NBA All-Star weekend remains one of the most watched sporting
events in the country. It took place on February 17th and 18th
in Utah.
Lillard, who was part of the NBA All-Star East side, was
quoted after the match where he stated that the fans would have enjoyed the fixture.
"I think people who are fans of the game, they love
it," said the 33-year-old. "They enjoy being entertained. I think it
could be more competitive. I think our game right now is a fast-paced game. We
play a lot of games.
“The game also probably has more injuries than it's ever
had. Trying to manage your body, to protect yourself and not get injured and
take away from what you ultimately want to accomplish is something we
prioritize."
On the night, the East went on to win the match against the
West side with a score of 211 to 186. Lillard was the best performer on the
night for the winning side as he registered 39 points to go with three rebounds
and six assists.
For the losing side, Shai
Gilgeous-Alexander was the star performer as he ended up registering 31 points,
four rebounds and six assists.
