A rematch of the 2023 Western Conference Semifinals did not
disappoint, as the Los Angeles Lakers beat the Golden State Warriors 145-144 in
double overtime at the Chase Center behind a historic LeBron James performance.
LeBron James led the Lakers with 36 points, 20 rebounds, and
12 assists on 56% shooting, including hitting the 2 final free throws in double
overtime to give the Lakers the lead in what possibly was the most entertaining
game of the year. Tonight’s triple double was his 3rd this season
and 139th in his career. In his 21st season, LeBron James
is still putting up remarkable stats, averaging 24.8 points, 7.1 rebounds, and
7.5 assists. Anthony Davis chipped in with 29 points, 13 rebounds, 3 assists,
and 4 blocks while D’Angelo Russell contributed with 28 points, 3 rebounds, and
5 assists, including hitting clutch 3 pointers down the stretch of regulation
and the overtime periods.
For the Warriors, Stephen Curry put on a heroic effort, as
he finished with 46 points, 3 rebounds, and 7 assists on 17 made baskets,
including 9 made three pointers. Meanwhile, Klay Thompson contributed 24
