Denver Nuggets head coach has asked the NBA management to do
their ‘due diligence’ after
Philadelphia 76ers star
Joel Embiid missed the
match on Saturday.
The Nuggets went on to secure a win in the contest with a
score of 111-105 at the Ball Arena. The game was very close to call till the
third quarter but in the last quarter, the winning side ended up scoring 25
points, eight more than the 76ers.
During the match, the crowd was anticipating a clash of the
Titans between Embiid and Nikola Jokic. However, they were left disappointed as
the 29-year-old did not show up for the match which also left Michael Malone
not happy as well who asked the NBA management to do their due diligence about
why Embiid did not play in the match.
“I don’t know how you go from being active, available, to
out. I’m sure the league will do their due diligence. Because that’s frowned
upon,” he Malone.
The star of the show for the winning team on the night was
as expected Jokic who ended up scoring 26 points including 16 rebounds and
seven assists.
On the other hand, for the losing side, it was Paul Reed who was
the unexpected hero as he ended up registering 30 points including 13 rebounds
and one assist.
