Over the last month, there has been a lot of rumors surrounding the Chicago Bulls. Wether if they were going to let go one, or both of their most important players before the trade deadline unleashed a lot of speculations. The results weren't there either. Now, things seem to have taken a turn in Windy City.
As The Athletic's Darnell Mayberry points out from NBA Rumors, the Bulls are making a firm decision on LaVine and DeRozan: they will not trade either before the conclusion of the Trade Deadline.
Apparently, part of the reason for this change in Chicago's position is because LaVine "was attracting little or no interest" from teams looking to trade him, likely because of the high price the Bulls would have asked for him. Something similar is happening with DeMar DeRozan, whose negotiations "are stuck", in Mayberry's words.
Not even the option of seeing Alex Caruso leave is realistic. Everything points to Chicago Bulls not making any moves before the trade deadline.
"Caruso is a player the Bulls could get value for, as he is arguably the most attractive asset on the roster, but the team seems to be holding on to him", Mayberry said.
