The
Los Angeles Lakers visited the
Memphis Grizzlies in one of the 15 games scheduled for this NBA Friday. Memphis came to this match depleted by injuries, a problem that's been a constant throughout the season since
Ja Morant was ruled out for the season back in December. The Lakers needed a victory to escape the 10th place for the play-in tournament.
LeBron James played excellent once again, scoring 37 points in a hard-fought win against the Grizzlies 123-120.
The King continues to prove that his conditioning is something else. The 20-year veteran continues to run the floor like his old days back in St Vincent St Mary High School. 37 points, 9 rebounds, 5 assists and 2 steals for LeBron, playing against a much younger Grizzlies squad.
Memphis played with everything they got, as the put up a fight against a much better Lakers team, extending the drama until the last seconds of the game. With 11.9 seconds left in the fourth and LA up by three, the Lakers disrupted the offensive play and LeBron runs at full speed to get the steal and finish with the reverse dunk to put LA out of reach. The King even sneaked in a little taunt at Ja in the end that Morant didn't appreciated much.
