Dallas Mavericks star point guard Luka Doncic was furious
after his team once again suffered a defeat, despite his heroics on the court.
The Mavericks ended up losing to the Indiana Pacers with a
score of 137-120 at the American Airlines Center in Dallas, Texas on Wednesday.
In a video that was posted on the social media platform X —
previously known as Twitter — Doncic threw a bottle showing his frustration
towards the end of the match.
The 25-year-old was also quoted after the match and stated
he does not care about his own stats as all he cares about is victories.
"I don't know how to fix [our defensive woes], but I
know we have to fix it," he said. "It doesn't matter, man. I just
want to win. That's it."
Doncic ended up registering 39 points on the night with 10
rebounds and 11 assists to his name. It was the fourth consecutive match where
the Ljubljana-born registered 30 or more points but in three of those matches,
Mavericks ended up on the losing side.
The result left the Mavericks in the eighth position in the
Western Conference with 34 wins and 28 defeats. On the other hand, the Pacers
are placed in the eighth position in the Eastern Conference with 35 wins and 28
defeats.
