One of the best players in the league is making his comeback after missing 20+ games with the
Atlanta Hawks.
Trae Young, the Hawks All-star point guard returned to action in the scheduled matchup against the
Charlotte Hornets.
Atlanta, currently 10th in the Eastern Conference, has already secured a spot for the play-in tournament. They will be facing the Chicago Bulls on April 17th. However, it's yet to decide which team will be playing at home, since the Bulls are 9th with a 37-42 record while Atlanta has a 36-44 record with 2 more games remaining.
Trae Young, the Hawks 5th overall pick in the 2018 NBA Draft has been the team's most important player since he got to the league. Atlanta managed to survive without him for 21 games, leaving its fate in the hands of
Dejounte Murray and the rest of the squad. Now, with Young returning to action, the Hawks could be a dangerous team if they can find their team chemistry with a healthy roster.
In these sequences, we can appreciate how special Trae's skills are. Young started perfect from the field against the Hornets. In addition we can see how much he impacts the rest of the game not only with his effortless scoring, but playing good defense registering 1 steal and sharing the ball, generating easy buckets for Clint Capella and Garrison Matthews. Ice-Trae finished with a double-double of 14 points and 11 assists.
Unfortunately, the Hawks couldn't put the cherry on top Young's comeback, as they lost to Charlotte 115-114.
