Sunday night's game in Salt Lake City as the Utah Jazz are facing the San Antonio Spurs. In this case we're bringing this brilliant sequence from none other than Victor Wembanyama. The Spurs' gem has been excellent since 2024 arrived.
The San Antonio Spurs are trying to stay near the scoreboard against a better team like the Utah Jazz. And Victor Wembanyama is collaborating with that cause, impacting every major statistic registered.
And here is the evidence, in this 18 second sequence, we can see a glimpse of how much Victor influences the various aspects of the game.
First we can see how aggresive his defense is and how much space he covers, not only he proves that he can defend the perimeter but rather going all-in and almost pick John Collins' pocket. Somehow in the mix up Collins regains the ball, but no problem...Wembanyama recovers and blocks the shot. It's almost imposible to go around him, and attempting a shot will most likely end up in a block by Wemby, something he's better at doing than whole teams.
Fastbreak, Victor runs the floor gets to the spot and throws a beautiful no look pass but unfortunately Julian Champagnie couldn't make the basket. All of that in 18 seconds. Wemby is a joy to watch.
