Klay Thompson is still adjusting to his new role, coming from the bench for the team where he played his whole career, the
Golden State Warriors. The 4-time NBA Champion went absolutely crazy, dropping 16 points with impressive efficiency.
The current season for the Golden State Warriors has been one of the most challenging and difficult campaigns the Warriors ever had to face. Nevertheless, the last dynasty looks far from over, with three consecutive games won the Dubs are looking better and they've already surpassed the Lakers, relegating them to the 10th spot of the Western Conference.
But there could be another reason that explains this "successful" present. Throughout the past three games, Klay Thompson was moved from the starting lineup to the bench, to preserve him and provide scoring to the second unit. Shocking as it might have been for Thompson, Klay embraced this new role and seems to be working out just fine.
In this video we can see Klay's abilities at full display in the first quarter. Thompson is elite when it comes to moving off the ball, running through screens, constantly moving and looking for that minnimum space he needs to let that ball fly directly to the hoop. He wears his defenders down and never lets them know which way he's going.
Vintage Klay at San Francisco tonight. The Warriors need him if they want to aspire to get to the playoffs.
