Victor Wembanyama registered history as he led the San Antonio
Spurs to an overtime victory over the
Brooklyn Nets.
The Spurs finally came out on top with a score of 122-115 at
the Moody Center in Austin on Sunday. It was the side’s 15th in
68 matches where they suffered defeat 15 times. They remain at the bottom of
the Western Conference.
On the other hand, the defeat was a severe blow for the Nets
who missed a golden opportunity to close the gap with the 10th-place
Atlanta Hawks in the Eastern Conference.
The star of the show on the night was none other than Wembanyama
who registered 33 points to go with 15 rebounds and seven assists.
While doing so, the 20-year-old became the first player in the history
of the NBA to register more than 30 points, 15 rebounds, five or more assists, five
or more blocks and register at least 50 per cent field goals in a single game.
The NBA, on their account on the social media platform X — previously
known as Twitter — released the video of the performance of Wembanyama on the
night where he was simply unstoppable.
The Le Chesnay-born continues to have a great season for the
Spurs as he has registered 20.6 points, 10.3 rebounds and 3.4 assists per game.
