NBA 3-Point Contest impact at @FDSportsbook:
NBA All-Star Saturday events are coming up in just a few hours, and one of the contest that generate the most expectation is the Three-Point Shootout. This desired trophy has one name to beat this year: Damian Lillard.
The Milwaukee Bucks star, although not at his best, is the main candidate to win the championship trophy in a three-point shooting contest that will also feature Jalen Brunson, Tyrese Haliburton, Donovan Mitchell, Trae Young, Lauri Markkanen, Karl-Anthony Towns and Lillard's Bucks teammate Malik Beasley.
It is curious that the experts, in line to what Shams Charania of The Athletic reported, put Damian Lillard as the favorite. The point guard, in his first year in Milwaukee, averaged 34.1% in three-pointers, his second worst mark of his career after 32.4% in 2021/22. Although, in that year, he only played 29 games, so it's safe to say that this 34.1% is Lillard's worst mark in his entire career.
Regarding the rest of the competitors, the most immediate to win the three-point contest after Damian Lillard is Tyrese Haliburton. The context favors him. He is the great candidate and counts with the support of the local public, since this year the All Star is in Indiana, and the Pacers star will be totally focused on trying to win.
