Big win for the Miami Heat, playing without their leader, Jimmy Butler. Miami dominated the first half, with Duncan Robinson being a standout, carrying the teams offense. Detroit just could'nt get anything going, shooting poorly from the field, not being able to keep up with Eric Spoelstra’s team.
Mid-way to the third quarter Detroit reacted and started giving a real fight that extended througout the end of the game, exchanging buckets with the Heat.
Evan Fournier was the main offensive weapon for Detroit, scoring 18 points combined with 4 rebounds and 3 steals.
Cade Cunningham collaborated with 17 points, including some important buckets. Fontecchio ended up with 13 points.
Duncan Robinson was a threat from beyond the arc, draining 7 threes to a total of 30 points. Robinson became the youngest player in NBA history to reach the 1000 three-pointers made.
Bam Adebayo was spectacular, coming up with 20 points and 16 rebounds, including the amazing long distance shot to win the game.
The Pistons, eliminated of any playoff contention, will be playing against the Celtics at Boston tomorrow.
