Dallas Mavericks star forward
Luka Doncic has heaped praise
on
Caitlin Clark after her outstanding performance in the NCAA Women's
Championship Elite 8 round.
The 22-year-old is often regarded as the next big thing as
she is set to join the WNBA next season after delivering numerous performances
throughout the ongoing campaign at the college basketball level.
Clark, on Monday, once again grabbed all the headlines as Iowa
Hawkeyes faced LSU Tigers for the rematch of last year’s Finals.
The Des Moines-born registered 41 points to go with seven
rebounds and 12 assists as the Hawkeyes came out on top with a score of 102-85.
She registered nine three-pointers on the night in just 20 attempts, an
impressive feat to say the least.
Doncic, who has been one of the star performers this season in
the NBA, was recently quoted in a report where he heaped praise on the youngster
and called her ‘most Steph Curry’ than him.
“Amazing. What did she have? Forty-one? She was shooting
that ball on fire. I watched some of it,” said Doncic. “She shoots it better
than me. That’s for sure. She is more Steph Curry than me.
Doncic is averaging 34 points per game which is the best by
any player in the competition. To go with that, he is also contributing 9.1
rebounds and 9.8 assists per game.
